Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 4 potato buns
- 4 slices of American cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp pickle juice
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce and tomato for toppings
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, and onion powder to create the ShackSauce. Set aside.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into thin patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
- Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of cheese on each patty. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked through.
- Toast the potato buns on the skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burger by spreading the ShackSauce on the bottom bun, adding the cheesy patty, lettuce, and tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade ShackBurger!
