- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 fat)
- 4 slices of bacon
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Pickles (optional)
- Ketchup and mustard (to taste)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, adding a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden brown.
