Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 4 large flatbreads or naan
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
- On a flatbread, spread a layer of marinara sauce, then add mozzarella cheese, cooked meatballs, and pepperoni slices. Top with more mozzarella if desired.
- Fold the flatbread in half to create a pocket and brush the outside with olive oil.
- Place the folded papadia on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven, cut into slices, and serve with additional marinara sauce for dipping.
