Ingredients
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the marinara sauce to the meat mixture and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a third of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Repeat the layers, ending with meat sauce and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
