Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
- Sprinkles (for topping)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Preheat the donut maker or oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.
- If using a donut maker, pour the batter into the molds and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If baking, pipe or spoon the batter into greased donut pans.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before removing from pans.
- For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk if necessary.
